Our Board
Leticia Chavez-Paulette, FounderI have lived in New Mexico most of my life and in Albuquerque for 18 years. My life experiences have equipped me to serve as Executive Director of A Peaceful Habitation, and I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve God in this capacity since 2005. I know first-hand the challenges of addiction, domestic violence, and homelessness. It is my honor and privilege to serve with all other faithful volunteers of A Peaceful Habitation to empower women to fulfill their purpose after incarceration. Phil 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Charles "Russ" Spicher, TreasurerHaving been in Law Enforcement for 23 years, I have seen numerous people sent to prison for their involvement in criminal activity and wondered if these people could return to society as productive members. I have witnessed the APH product--women recently released from prison learning to live a Christian life and become a shining light in a dark world. I am looking forward to working the "tail end" of the criminal justice system after so many years for working the "front end."
I've been married to Mary E. Spicher for over 22 years, and have a blended family with three children, four grand- and two great-grand kids. I served in the US Air Force as a Security Police officer for nearly 23 years, working both law enforcement and security and Chief of Security Police at three different bases. I served in Vietnam. I'm an active member of Hoffmantown Church, volunteer in the Tech ministry, have served on many mission trips in the US and overseas. As an active member of the New Mexico Shriners, I work in the Telemedicine program with the Los Angles Shriners Hospital for Children. I serve on the Board of Directors for Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers, New Mexico Veterans Memorial Foundation, and now APH. |
Pastor Gilfred Francia, SecretaryI am assisting Pastor at Washed By the Word Church. An overcomer of a meth addiction and street life only by the blood and grace of Jesus Christ. Through all of my experiences, God has given me a heart for the lost and compassion for our local homeless and justice- involved communities. God placed me at Christ United to lead others who struggle with addiction and homelessness. My life has been restored, and I feel it is imperative to give to others the hope that Jesus Christ gives to me.
